Bingo Quoted

The popularity of bingo as one of the world's favorite gambling games has led to books on bingo, magazines on bingo and even quotations on bingo. Believe it or not, there are actual people who have developed bingo sayings, and most of them are really funny.

One of those bingo quotations goes as such:

"I'd rather rot on my own floor than be found by a bunch of bingo players in a nursing home."

This is obviously a mockery of gambling players who love bingo. As we all know, bingo is a gambling game usually associated with old people. However, it would be a hasty generalization to say that only old gambling players who are at retirement houses play this gambling game. I know for a fact that people who are still in school also play this gambling game, usually for charity purposes. Recently, this gambling game has also been used as a medium of instruction for very young students.

Another quotation on bingo goes like this:

"I only play bingo on days that end in Y."

Obviously, all days in the week end in the letter Y. This quotation is a mockery for those who got so addicted to playing bingo. Some gambling players get really addicted to bingo because that gambling game is fun, exciting and relaxing, all at the same time. Of course, like all other gambling games, bingo also promises money to its players, which makes it all the more attractive.

Here is another quotation about addiction to bingo:

"My husband said to choose between him and bingo. I'm gonna miss that man!"

Some experts say that gambling, or the addiction to gambling can lead to broken families, and this quotation only supports that point. Gambling has been blamed for a lot of divorces in the United States, and in other parts of the world as well. Apparently, either the spouses of the gambling addicts get jealous of the game, or they are losing their family budget to gambling. Take note that the speaker of this quotation appears to be woman, which is another one of bingo stereotypes. Many people believe that bingo is for female gambling players while poker is for male ones.

And lastly, here is another quotation on which age group that bingo players belong to:

"Support Bingo. Keep grandmas off the street!"

This supports the premise of the first quotation cited here. Not only that, but the gambling players mentioned here are female gambling players again. Once more, it has been emphasized that old women are the ones who play bingo all the time.
